So this Tin Opener looks a little different to most. Obviously it is designed to open tins but it only has one handle! When a tin can is made, the end of the cylinder is rolled over and therefore leaves no sharp edges. The lid is then pushed and crimped into place during the manufacturing and canning process.
This Can Opener does not cut through the can in the traditional way. It simply eases off the lid leaving no sharp edges. I don’t know why all tin openers aren’t made like this. It would make things a lot safer around the kitchen.
Because the lid has been popped off cleanly, it can be refitted and used to hide any valuables in plain sight. I’m just considering what I can hide in a can and have one of my unsuspecting boys open it.
