Headlamps and head torches always have so many practical uses. Where ever you look is where the light is focused and because of this, they are far more efficient in their general operation. This particular headlamp allows you to dim the main light.

I find this a very useful feature for when I am shooting photographs in very low light levels. The headlamp can help you see to get setup in a particularly dimly lit location. You can then setup your camera and you are ready to switch if off and start shooting. If you need any light again, you do not need to rummage around for it in the dark as it’s there ready to go, located on your head.

The headlamp came supplied with it’s own storage case to keep the torch clean and dry. There is a netted compartment that will hold a set of additional batteries just in case you need to keep a spare set at hand. The head torch is supplied with 3x AAA batteries so you are ready to go as soon as the product arrives. The headband is adjustable over a wide range and can be adjusted to fit both an adults or a child’s head.

The Coomatec headlamp has four light settings. Full beam main light and a slightly dimmer level. Twin red lights or twin red lights flashing at about 120 flashes per minute. Although the headlamp has a number of light settings, to switch off the main light, you have to press the button 4 times. Apart from that, it is a very practical torch with a great number of uses.

To conclude, when taking low light level photographs, cycling, changing a tyre, fishing or searching around in a dark location, this LED headlamp will tick all the boxes. It’s lite wait, water proof, robust with a long battery life and just a handy product to have around.
